The IPS project is generously funded and supported by the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC). As a key member of Canada’s foreign aid programme, IDRC is one of the world’s leaders in generating and applying new knowledge to meet the challenges facing poor countries. By supporting local research, IDRC assists developing countries to use science and technology to find solutions to local problems. Their aims are to find lasting solutions for increased health, higher incomes, cleaner environments and more responsible governments.
